CUSTOMER EDUCATION VIDEOS

Customer education is training with a different buyer and the same craft. It usually sits with Customer Success, Support or Marketing rather than L&D, and it gets measured on ticket volume, activation and churn rather than completion rates. The videos still have to teach.

The economics are unusually clear. A single video that answers the question your support team fields two hundred times a month pays for itself quickly, and it does so while the customer gets a better experience than they would waiting in a queue.

We have produced customer-facing education for JM Bullion, Rancho Water, the Accounting Aid Society and Small Business BC, covering everything from a domestic repair to an intimidating letter from the tax authority. Production starts at $2,500 and a single video typically takes two to four weeks.

Our customer education videos process

Video Production For Training

Discovery + Strategy

We start with your support data. Tickets, chat logs and call reasons tell you exactly which videos to make and in what order, which is a far better brief than a list of features. We agree the measure up front too, whether that is deflected tickets, activation rate or fewer returns.

Design + Production

Customer-facing scripts have to earn attention rather than assume it, so the first ten seconds acknowledge the problem the viewer actually has. Beyond that the discipline is the same: one topic per video, storyboarded so each step reads clearly, reviewed by you before anything is animated.

Delivery + Video Launch

You get masters sized for wherever customers will meet them: help center, product page, onboarding email, social. Captions and transcripts are standard, both for accessibility and because a transcript gives the help center page something for search engines to index.

Why work with Training Videos TV?

Corporate Training Video Production

Measured on tickets, not views

Customer education is one of the few video investments with a directly observable return. We ask which support volume you want to reduce, and we would rather make three videos that move that number than ten that look good in a portfolio.

Training Video Production

Clear without being condescending

The hard part of customer education is explaining something simply to an adult who is already slightly frustrated. Tone is most of the work, and it is where we spend the most time in script review.

Training Video

Brand-safe by default

These videos sit on your public channels, so they are built to your brand guidelines and reviewed the way a marketing asset is, not the way internal training usually is.

Customer Education Videos FAQs

A video that helps a customer use, understand or get value from what you sell: setup and onboarding, how-to for common tasks, explanations of a service or a document, and troubleshooting. It usually lives in a help center, an onboarding email sequence or a product page rather than an LMS.

The audience can leave. Internal training has a captive viewer, so it can afford to be dry. Customer education competes with closing the tab, so the first ten seconds have to earn the rest, and the tone has to be welcoming about not knowing something.

Look at support volume rather than the product roadmap. The three questions your team answers most often, or the step where new customers most frequently stall, will return more than a polished overview of everything.

Ticket volume on the covered topic is the cleanest measure, followed by activation or setup completion rate and, over a longer window, churn among customers who watched. Take the baseline before the videos go live, since the comparison is the whole point.

Wherever the customer already is when the question occurs: the help center article on that topic, the relevant point in the onboarding sequence, the product page, the confirmation email. A video library nobody visits is the most common way this work gets wasted.

Sixty to ninety seconds for a single task. Two to three minutes for an explanation of a service or a concept. Short enough that a customer will try it before contacting support.

From $2,500 for a single video. Most clients commission a batch, which is quoted as a project and costs less per video because the template and visual system are built once.

Usually yes, and it is worth planning for. A clear explanation of how something works is often a better sales asset than a promotional video, so we build to brand guidelines and deliver the crops and cutdowns marketing will ask for anyway.
